When you first start a home based Internet business, you will want to establish office hours. Tell you family, friends and business associates your office hours. Let everybody know you are working during those hours and you should only be disturbed if there is an emergency.
Keep your office door closed during your work hours and if you have to, hang a do not disturb sign on the outside.
Let everybody know that starting a home based Internet business is not an invitation to spend hours in aimless conversations. Make a decision about the conversation and then end the discussion.
Unfortunately, your family and friends will cause the most interruptions for you while you are working at home. Be firm about your business hours and then stick to them.
